Updates 2016

 December 14, 2016

Attention Residents,

We have been notified of a vicious wild mink attack in the neighborhood.  It is expected that the mink was rabid and is being tested.  The mink attacked one of our residents and caused significant injury.

We are sending out this warning so that our residents are aware and take any precautions you feel necessary.

Per the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) minks are especially drawn to areas that are wooded or brushy. Although territorial by nature, the male often wanders far afield. When males meet, a violent fight is likely to ensue and may leave one or more mink dead.  An angry mink can screech, hiss, snarl, and bark.

For easy identification the mink has a weasel-like or ferret-like in appearance possessing a long, narrow body, but is considerably larger with a bushier tail. It has small, rounded ears, beady eyes, short legs, and sharp claws. The mink’s fur is usually a rich chocolate brown, but can look almost black. A white chest or chin patch with spots scattered on the underparts of the body is also characteristic.  Adults weigh 1.25-3 pounds and are 12-17 inches long.

We wish all of you a safe and joyous holiday season.

The work on the entryway is almost complete. The landscaping is done. New signs will be placed in a few weeks. We've posted pictures of the new entryway landscaping on both the north & south sides & the divider under the Improvement Projects tab of this website. Both sides are the same in size & the plantings that are in the beds. We have been able to repair & repaint the signs that we had & have ordered new posts to mount them on saving the association thousands on the cost of new signs- Thank you to Rick Paul and Mike Novak for your hard work.

June, 2016

Homeowners:

We wanted to offer you an update on the landscaping and give you a heads up on the activity you will be seeing soon at the front entrance.  As you can see the improvement has begun.  Both of the Waterford Crossing signs have been removed for repair & painting.  The approximate cost for 2 new signs is $8000.00.  We are going to do our best to repair what we have.  All the bushes & shrubs will be removed & the large pine trees & all larger stones will remain & will be worked into the design.  We will remount the signs on black fencing to offer a more upscale look.

We have also contracted with Brown's Nursery & they will be completing the new landscaping on both sides of the street and the center island.  This is scheduled to begin after the 4th of July.

We are excited about the improvements & look forward to beautifying the entrance even more.

The board met on June 24, 2016 & the board meeting minutes have been posted as a .pdf on this website on the Board Information tab. They've also been emailed to those that we have emails for & are being mailed out this week to all homeowners. If you have an email to receive communications from the association with, please forward that email address to be added to our database.
